FAQ

Average Nashville demo cost vs. Rad Records cost?

The average full demo cost in Nashville is between $700 and $1000.  The average cost of a full demo at Rad Records is around $250 - $300!  The reason we can keep our prices so low, is that our engineers can play and record every instrument and sometimes even sing on your demo!  All for the low cost of $25/hr!

What is included in a Rad Records demo at $25/hr?

Your demo will include as many of the following instruments as you want!

Drums, bass, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, mandolin, banjo, resonator/slide, keys, synths, percussion, loops.

You will also not pay any extra fees for studio time, engineer, session musicians, mixing, or mastering!

Does Rad Records charge for work for hire releases?

No way!  It's your song and you're paying for the demo right?  Since all of our engineers are also our studio musicians, you do not have to pay extra to release your demos or own your masters!  The only exception to this, is if you bring in outside musicians/vocalists that may charge extra for work for hire releases.

Can I record via e-mail from out of town?

Absolutely yes!  75% of our clients record with us via e-mail from out of town, out of state, and even out of country!  All you have to do is e-mail us a worktape and lyrics of your song and the key and we'll do the rest!  We'll even send you rough mixes at various stages of the recording process to make sure everything sounds exactly how you want it!

What if I want extra instrumentation on my demo?

We can do that!  Working in Nashville for over 5 years, we have access to some of the best studio musicians in the world.  Whether it be pedal steel, fiddle, organ, or anything else you may want to hear on your song, we can bring in the players to get the job done.  (Outside musician/vocalist rates vary and are not included in Rad Records rate of $25/hr.)
