Rad Records is located in Downtown Nashville, Tn and is run by Artist/Songwriter, Engineer, and Multi-Instrumentalist Dakota Jay (Dakota and Will).

 

Since 2006, Dakota has recorded with Grammy-winning producers and engineers such as Steve Cropper ("Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay"), Andy Kravtiz (James Taylor, Billy Joel), and David Ivory (The Roots, Erykah Badu). From these in-studio experiences and mentorships, he has adopted top-industry standard skills in Arrangement, Songwriting/Song Development, and Music Production.

 

Dakota Jay's most recent songwriting successes include singles/cuts with Top 40 Country Act The Lost Trailers, Artist and Movie Star Tyler Hilton, YouTube Sensation Alyssa Shouse, Ernie Halter, Brad Lee Schroeder, and Drew Gregory. Songs produced/penned by Dakota have been featured by the NFL, YouTube, Discovery Channel, Sirius/XM's The Highway, USAirways, and Virgin Airlines.

 

Dakota is also a signed staff writer at Sea The Desert, a successful recording artist, and half of the Country/Pop duo Dakota and Will, who have toured extensively with Tyler Hilton (One Tree Hill, Walk The Line), Ron Pope ("A Drop In The Ocean"), and Josiah Lemming (American Idol). In addition to these tours, Dakota and Will have opened for Will Hoge, Shooter Jennings, Brandy Clark, and Ryan Cabrera, and have performed at the nationally known Country Thunder Music Festival.
